Could you tell us a bit about Menzies LLP?

Menzies is really customer-driven. Could you tell us a bit about your customers?
We have a wide-range of clients at Menzies, across a broad range of sectors who sit firmly in the SME space. We pride ourselves on getting to know our clients as we believe that regularly meeting with business owners will truly add value to their business. Our clients have diverse needs and we can support them with full range of services you’d expect from your accountants – tax, corporate finance, audit & compliance and business recovery, plus some you might not – like strategic advisory, outsourced HR and FD support, franchising and business valuations.
How did you hear about Unleashed Software?
Three years ago, I first started researching about inventory management and that’s when I chanced upon Unleashed Software. Today, approximately 10 of our clients are using, or will be using, Unleashed.
What are some of the challenges your clients are experiencing with inventory management?
My clients used to have no access to current, up-to-date data. With Unleashed, my clients now have a real-time inventory management solution. Real-time data means that our clients’ journals will be kept accurate and updated. As accountants, we know we will be working with the most recent journals.
Another issue my clients has was the lack of reporting in their previous spreadsheets or softwares. For example, one client needed to analyse the profitability per material in order to make price adjustments whenever required. Unleashed’s comprehensive and customisable reporting has allowed my clients to generate better, in-depth reports.
With globalisation, businesses are now widening their scope of customers and suppliers pass geographical boundaries. As such, they will need software that can help them confidently handle multiple currencies.
What benefits does Unleashed bring your clients? How has it helped your clients grow?
With Unleashed, we have had some very good feedback from our clients. Unleashed has refreshed their technology. No longer are they bound by legacy software or spreadsheets. Instead, they can have their business up in the cloud. With this brings along a slew of advantages, including having constant access to their data from the cloud. They don’t have to manage their inventory from an office and can instead carry it out from anywhere with an internet connection.
Some customers avoid migrating to an inventory management software but they may be missing out on getting more efficiency in the business. What do you have to say about that?
We are challenging our clients using our ‘Brighter Thinking’ approach. Our approach is different as we go beyond the numbers to inspire our clients and place a greater emphasis on face-to-face interactions and creating strong relationships at the centre of everything we do.
How do you find the integration between Unleashed and other softwares?
The main benefit Unleashed has given us is its integration with Xero. With a seamless integration across both cloud platforms, it allows our accountants to access their clients’ current stock valuations. We are also about to start working on a project that will integrate Xero, Unleashed and Shopify.
This is also the reason why we strongly advocate for Unleashed. A seamless integration with Xero and great feedback from our clients are the reasons why Unleashed is our preferred inventory management software.
How does the future look for your business? Anything exciting coming up that you can share with us?
We are excited to be moving more dynamically into advisory services. In the near future, Unleashed will be one of our recommended add-ons for our solution-based core app, Xero.
What are some of the things that you enjoy about your partnership with Unleashed?
The feature we enjoy the most is the Unleashed Academy. It’s a great learning tool for both our accountants and our clients.
